What types of incidents are covered by workers’ compensation insurance?

  • Lost wages (2/3 of average wages, untaxed)

What types of incidents are NOT covered by workers’ compensation insurance?

There are several circumstances in which incidents are not covered by workers’ compensation insurance. For example, you will not receive benefits if:

  • You were under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of injury
  • The injuries were self-inflicted
  • You were breaking the law or violating company policy
  • You were not on the job at the time of injury
